Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how YPV LLC ("Your Pura Vida," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the Your Pura Vida platform at app.yourpuravida.com (the "Service"). We are a company incorporated in Wyoming, United States.

If you are a Costa Rican service provider listed in (or applying to) our expert directory, a separate notice applies to you. Please see our Expert Directory Privacy Notice.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

YPV LLC is the controller responsible for your personal information. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@yourpuravida.com or by mail at 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your name and email address. We use passwordless "magic link" sign-in, so we do not collect or store passwords.
  • Profile and questionnaire responses — information you provide through our quiz and in-app assessments, such as your relocation location of interest, moving status, and preferences.
  • Purchase and subscription information — records of your purchases and subscription status. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not collect or store your full payment card details (see Section 5).
  • Content you create in the Service — bookmarks, saved notes, planning-tool responses, and progress tracking.
  • Calls and support communications — if you book a call or contact support, we process your booking details and the contents of your messages.
  • Usage and device information — privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics about how the Service is used (see Section 6).

3. How we use your information

  • To create and operate your account and provide the Service.
  • To process purchases, manage subscriptions, and issue refunds.
  • To personalize content and recommendations based on your responses.
  • To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • To send service-related messages (such as sign-in links and receipts).
  • To send marketing communications where permitted; you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the Service and to comply with law.

4. Legal bases for processing (EU/UK users)

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service and process purchases); our legitimate interests (to operate, secure, and improve the Service); your consent (for optional marketing, which you may withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We use Stripe's hosted checkout, so your full card number and security code are entered directly with Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We receive limited information such as confirmation of payment and the type and last digits of the card. Stripe's handling of your information is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. For analytics we use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-focused service that does not use tracking cookies and does not collect personal information or build cross-site profiles. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

7. Service providers we share data with

We share personal information with the following service providers (sub-processors) who process it on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
  • Mailgun — transactional and notification email delivery.
  • Fathom Analytics — privacy-friendly usage analytics.
  • Cal.com — call scheduling.
  • Chatwoot — customer support messaging.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition. We do not sell your personal information.

8. International data transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information from the EU, UK, or Canada, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses offered by our service providers.

9. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for a reasonable period to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations and to resolve disputes. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except records we are required to keep.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, or contact us at privacy@yourpuravida.com to exercise any of these rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California

If you are a California resident, you may request to know the personal information we collect and how we use and share it, request deletion, and opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To make a request, contact privacy@yourpuravida.com.

Canada

If you are in Canada, you may request access to and correction of your personal information. We process personal information with your consent and in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including Quebec's Law 25 where it applies.

EU / UK

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the rights described above under the GDPR and may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by law.

11. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level database security, and the principle of least privilege. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident, including notifying you and regulators where required by law.

12. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, notify you of material changes.

14. Contact
